5 bunches of bananas on our kitchen table. Since covid began we(I) only go grocery shopping once every 2 weeks which is not normal for our family. This is very stressful trying to order as many groceries as possible online from the big store and trying to stay healthy when going shopping at the smaller store and keep my husband with very high risk health conditions safe and to stock up on enough food to feed our family of 6 for 2 weeks at a time. Fresh foods are like a real treat right now. If these bananas don’t all get eaten before they become really ripe I will peel them, break them into smaller pieces, freeze them and later use them for smoothies or banana “ice cream.” They won’t go to waste.

Crumbs at Gideon’s spot at the table after lunch. A mess that is a sign of the leftover taco salad we enjoyed for lunch
(Not a fan of the overexposure on this photo—still very much in the learning process with film…decided to just show this whole project—imperfections and all)

Ben’s hand on my leg. His hands on my leg or back often help provide gentle comfort and calm in the middle of extreme anxiety, somatic flashbacks and emotional flashbacks. I am thankful for the support he gives through his hands especially when there are no words sufficient for the moment.
