Hi, I’m glad you’re here!

Thank you for visiting me here and taking a look at my photos. Photography has been a big part of my life for many years. I remember using a film camera in high school for the yearbook and working in the darkroom. Once my children were born I became fascinated with capturing them from birth and as they grew and changed but this time with a digital point and shoot camera. From there I researched what I wanted to learn and kind of taught myself to be a photographer as I grew, learned, practiced and continued to update my gear.

Photography has become a therapeutic practice for me as I fight intense mental health struggles and face my husband’s physical health challenges. In a way it has helped to save my life and is one of my coping skills. When I can’t use words, sometimes I make photos.

My faith is very important to me. I love capturing the beauty of my creator.

I see my style of photography explained as documentary photography. I like to capture real life, don’t do a lot of altering of images and like to keep edits simple and basic. I love using photography to tell a story.

Right now I enjoy both digital and film photography. I am much more experienced and knowledgeable with digital photography and enjoy being able to see and work with my digital photos right away. Over the past few years I’ve started learning about and practicing film photography. My interest in film has really grown a lot and I’m currently in the process of learning more by picking up my film cameras and growing by doing. It has differences from digital photography and I’m very eager to continue growing in my film photography.

Thank you for taking the time to look at my photos, I’m honored that you’re here. If you have any questions or want to connect you can do that through my contact page.
